Philippines is blessed with more or less seven thousand islands in which each offers unique and various heart-stopping activities and sight that will leave you awestruck. Yes, they could even make reality better than your dreams! Of these thousands, a number has been explored and known to travelers and these made them keep on coming back for more. One of which on the list of the islands that's making its way to the notch is that of Animasola Island.

Animasola came from the Latin words Anima which means lonely and Sola which means soul; hence, lonely soul. Well, this lonely soul literally rocks. Its enthralling rock formation has been recently known to many since it has been all over the social media and even featured in Philippine local travel shows due to its one of a kind astounding features. Located at the Northern part of Masbate, this island though a small one, has yet to terribly offer a lot. It was said that Animasola was still part of Camarines Sur. But then, it has been considered as part of the Burias Group of Islands of San Pascual, Masbate. If there's a good clearing, take a look at your left (if you'll be sailing from any point in Quezon to Animasola Island) and you'll find the silhouette of the majestic Mayon Volcano in Albay.

This island is a proof of how nature can be one of the best artists that we could ever know. Its attractions in shade of ocher are an upshot of natural  rock formation processes such as erosion and deposition.

The huge mass of rock at the center of the island could be possibly climbed but it's going to be a tough one. Imagine how great the view is should one maketh it there. It's possible though, according to the locals, for there are ropes that one could hold on. But then, those ropes have been there in all sorts of weather so we could not be really sure if it could promise to hold us tight.

Apart from this huge mass, at the the other side of this island lies two of the most enthralling creation I have ever seen - the natural jacuzzi and an exquisitely formed head-of-a-dinosaur like rock formation.

The natural pool or jacuzzi has this rock in the middle that is surrounded by clear and turqouise waters that makes it quite inviting. Its other end is open and connected to the open sea making the tides keep coming and crashing. The best time to visit the island is at midday when the tides are low so you can sit on the rock at the center of the jacuzzi.

Not far from it is the most interesting rock formation that I have seen up to date. Looking at it makes me puzzled and amazed like a kid at the same time. It actually is like a head of a dinosaur from afar that will make your jaws drop as you approach to it.

I've been to this island twice and I have and will never get tired of coming back to it for it always gives me a brand new feeling of amusement. Nature is indeed, amazing in its own ways.
